On Saturday, My Child Will Bring With Them A Nut Free Packed Lunch And Plenty Of Drinks.*

Parents Are Invited To A Mini Open Rehearsal Style Performance For The Last 15 Minutes Of Our Saturday Session. If You Would Like To Attend This, Please Arrive To Collect Your Child Between 2:30 And 2:45pm. We Will Finish All Our Activities At 3:00pm.*

On Monday 23rd March, the grand performance will take place at MAPAS Music Centre, Moorside High School, Swinton. Pupils should arrive at 4:45pm, at the East Lancs Road entrance. The concert runs 5:00 to 6:00pm. Each Play Day ticket entitles you to two free audience tickets for the performance. We May Use These Images For The Following Purposes: * To Send To Individual Schools To Share And Celebrate Their Pupils' Achievements * To Document The Event And For Internal Records * To Showcase The Work Of MAPAS And SCLL Within The Community, Including On Our Website, Social Media And Printed Publications. An amazing open rehearsal with Maestros regional orchestra at MAPAS Music Centre, Moorside High School - Monday 23rd March 5:00 - 6:00pm

Details for Saturday Play Day

Please arrive between 9:15am and 9:30am (please no earlier!) in order to register your child. Parking is available at the venue, although it may be busy at that time.

Please arrive between 2:30-2:45pm to watch a sneak preview / open rehearsal, or at 3:00pm to collect your child only.

Details for the Monday Open Rehearsal

Please bring your child to MAPAS Music Centre, Moorside High School (East Lancs Road entrance) for 4:45pm. The rehearsal starts at 5:00pm and finishes at approximately 6:00pm. They should bring their instrument with them and wear whatever they feel comfortable in. Children will be performing and rehearsing with the MAPAS Maestros regional orchestra.

The Play Day ticket includes 1 complimentary ticket for you or a family member to watch the Monday Open Rehearsal - we will give you the ticket on the Saturday when you come to drop off your child.

Is your child learning an orchestral instrument this year as part of their whole class (everyone in the class learning together)?

If so, why not book them in for a brilliant day of music making, with chance to perform with a regional orchestra too!

Children will experience playing in a full ensemble, using the instruments they play in class and more! We'll be building our musical skills, making new friends, being creative and generally having a great time.

What counts as an orchestral instrument?

If your child has been learning flute, recorder, clarinet, a brass instrument, violin, viola or cello along with their whole class - this day is for them!
