Overview
We are seeking self-employed tutors across a variety of instruments and disciplines,
including Piano, Brass, Strings, Woodwind, Guitar & Ukulele, Percussion, Vocal,
Drama, Musical Theatre, and Music Curriculum.
As a self-employed tutor at MAPAS, you will have the opportunity to inspire students
through a variety of teaching styles and settings, from individual / small group
lessons, Whole Class Instrumental Tuition (WCIT), Curriculum and Ensemble
leading.
Qualifications
• Relevant musical teaching experience and/or Music Degree and
Qualifications
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills and a passion for music
education
• Commitment to reflective and inclusive teaching practices

Successful applicants will be engaged on a self-employed basis and are therefore
responsible for their own tax and National Insurance arrangements, hold a current
Enhanced DBS certificate and Public liability Insurance and an ability to travel
between schools and other venues is essential.
Tutors will complete a probationary
period during the first six months of working with us, after which, pay rates rise to the
higher bracket.
