Samba Workshop - Using a variety of traditional samba
instruments, every child in the class will be able to take part in this musical
extravaganza celebrating all things samba! With uplifting beats that are sure
to get your students in a party mood this is the perfect end of term treat!

African music Workshop - Incorporating both singing
and instrumental music, this workshop is an opening into the diverse world of
African music. By the end of the workshop, your pupils will be able to play a
traditional African piece of music on a djembe (African drum) and sing a
selection of traditional songs. The song resources will also be sent to the
classroom teacher so that they can continue to sing in the classroom after the
workshop has taken place. Suitable for all key stages.
Drama Workshop - Drama helps to develop language and
communication skills. This fun creative workshop will encourage students to
build confidence through games and participating in pretend play, contributing
to developing vocabulary and encouraging exploration of imagination and
emotional understanding. Suitable for all key stages
Raise the Roof – singing in the classroom - This
inclusive and fun workshop encourages all students to join in singing in the
classroom, or can be up-scaled to the school hall to incorporate greater
participation. Including a wide selection of fun songs with students singing in
unison and in parts, this workshop will help celebrate the singing abilities
that your pupils have to offer. A resource pack will also be sent to school for
your staff to keep in order to encourage the singing to continue long after we
have gone! This workshop can be suited to any Key Stage.
Songwriting Workshop - Suitable for KS2, KS3 or KS4
this workshop teaches the basics of writing your very own song in a genre of
your choice. Teaching about structure, inspiration and lyric writing, by the
end of the session, each student will have the basis of their own song. This
workshop can be suited to musicians and non-musicians so no prior music
knowledge is necessarily required – anyone can write a song with MAPAS!
Curriculum link Workshop - From Romans to languages, the environment to
Roald Dahl, this workshop will be built around a topic of your choice. Music
will be used as the medium to teach children about various aspects of the topic
in a creative and memorable way. The workshop price includes planning in
collaboration with the class teacher, delivery and resources. Suitable for KS1
